Your Cycle Tracker: Leo → Virgo

You have your tracker. Let it breathe with you now.

Each mark you make is a breadcrumb — a small, honest record of what your body was doing while the Moon was doing what it does. Over time, those marks begin to speak.

How to Use It

  1. Print or save your tracker somewhere you'll actually see it each day.

  2. Every Monday, open Attune to the Moon — your weekly guide to the Moon's shifts and what they may be stirring in your body.

  3. Take two minutes a day to notice. Sensation, mood, energy. Nothing needs to be analyzed — just felt and marked.

  4. Choose your square: Yay, Okay, Meh, or Ugh. Add a word if something wants to be named.

Why It Matters

Within a few months, a pattern begins to emerge, one your body has been living all along:

  • When your energy moves toward creativity or connection

  • When it pulls toward quiet and restoration

  • How your emotional tides move with the Moon's

Your body has always been keeping this record. This tool just helps you read it.

This Week’s Body Compass

Leo → Virgo → Libra

New Moon and Total Solar Eclipse → the dark days → Waxing Crescent

Today the Moon crosses fully over the face of the Sun, and for a little over two minutes the light goes out entirely over Greenland, Iceland and the north of Spain. Most of us are nowhere near the path of it. Our bodies register the dark anyway.

We are eleven days past Lammas. The fields are full, the fruit is heavy, and the arc of light has already begun to bend even while the heat holds. The cycle opening now opens inside that turning, which is part of why it asks for so little doing.

Wed (Aug 12) — Leo Moon, New Moon and Total Solar Eclipse

Leo gathers in your heart, your upper back, and that place between your shoulder blades where the Creative Spirit presses toward expression. Today that place is asked to hold a beginning it cannot see yet. The eclipse deepens the dark of an already dark Moon, and your system may answer by going very still, or by revving at a speed that has nothing to do with the day in front of you.

Your heart: full, tender, or quietly bracing

Between your shoulder blades: aching, warm, asking for a hand

Your breath: catching near the top, dropping lower when you stop moving

Stay near a hearth today, a real one or one made of blankets and low light.

What is your fire asking for right now, tending or rest?

Thu–Fri (Aug 13–14) — Virgo Moon, still inside the dark

Early Thursday morning the Moon moves into Virgo and the attention drops out of your chest and into your belly. Your mesentery, your digestive organs, your enteric nervous system where the I Am Spirit keeps its nest. This is where the Plan forms, in a belly settled enough to hold a coherent thought while your mind is still rehearsing options at three in the morning. The seed that germinated in Wednesday's dark is looking for exactly this ground.

Your belly: gripped, softening, or hungry in a way food does not answer

Your hands: restless for something simple and useful

Your breath: finding its floor again

Give your hands ordinary work, dishes or weeding, and let your belly do the thinking.

What is one small thing you could do completely?

Sat (Aug 15) — Libra Moon

The Moon moves into Libra and your hips, kidneys and bladder come forward. Water organs, the ones most receptive to care and the first to register strain. Libra weighs. After two days of Virgo's sorting, your system may want to even things out in your relationships and commitments, in the quiet ledger of who has been giving what.

Your hips: tight, or loosening around a shape you set down years ago

Your kidneys: warm, tired, asking for salt and water and quiet

Your breath: widening at the sides

Warmth across your low back will do more this weekend than any conversation you could have.

Where have you been giving what you do not have?

Sun (Aug 16) — Libra Moon, Waxing Crescent

The first sliver comes back to the sky. Whatever germinated in Wednesday's dark now has the smallest amount of light on it, which is enough to feel and not nearly enough to see by. Your body may register this as appetite returning, or curiosity, or the wish to be near people again.

Your hips: opening with movement

Your kidneys: steadier after rest

Notice what you want before you decide whether you are allowed to have it.

How to Work with the Rhythm

This week starts at the very bottom of the cycle and only barely begins to climb.

Wednesday asks the least of you and will take the most, so keep the day small and let the eclipse pass through a body that is not also managing a full schedule.

Thursday and Friday belong to your belly, where ordinary useful work does more for the germinating seed than any amount of planning.

The weekend turns toward water and balance, and your kidneys will tell you quickly what you have been overspending.

Sunday brings the first light back. Mark your squares as you go, without deciding yet what any of it means.
