This is the work the fire does. It clears what is ready to go and blesses what is arriving. At Beltane, the Living Spirit’s long upward drive of spring completes, and the Creative Spirit’s outward radiance begins. That is what the fire is tending.

During the 12 Nights of Winter, Night 11 belonged to Scorpio. Its Soul Star Seed: The Transformer, guardian of thresholds and keeper of the hidden fire. Meeting what is real and standing so fully in love that even what is painful becomes luminous. That seed was activated in the Solstice dark, germinated at the Scorpio New Moon, and at this Scorpio Full Moon it is born into expression. What was seeded in winter takes its first breath. The Earthbound Spirit, most active at every Full Moon, tends what is being born and what is being composted simultaneously. Both are happening. Both are necessary.

Shadow Is What the Fire Is Made Of
Most of us arrive at Beltane wanting the brightness, the joy, the belonging, and the warmth of the fire on our faces. And that is real, that is here, and available, it is yours. But the Scorpio Full Moon will not let the brightness come without the depth. It illuminates everything. The longing you have stopped letting yourself feel, the warmth in your chest that has nowhere to go, and the hidden fire that has been banked down, waiting.

Your ancestors lit the Beltane fires for all of themselves. The belonging they celebrated was the belonging that says all of you is welcome here. Even what you think is too much and has never found its place.

Scorpio lives in the sexual organs and the entire pelvic region. It is the most potent and also the most held territory in the body. Bringing compassionate attention to your pelvic region creates space for healing, growth, and for the sacred evolution of the world through you. The hidden fire lives here. The creative-sexual-transformative energy that was frozen starts to move when the channel is tended.
The permafrost state of Scorpio looks like chronic pelvic holding, dissociation from the sexual body, creative energy that cannot move because the channel is frozen. This is what happens when the hidden fire has no safe ground to burn in. This moon is offering the opportunity to cultivate that ground.
At this Scorpio Full Moon, your pelvic center is the most activated place in your body. You may feel it as a warmth, a thrumming, a tingling that wants to spread upward. That is the hidden fire stirring at the portal. That is what this moon is doing in you whether you are tracking it or not.
The invitation is to track it. To place your awareness there, to tenderly breathe into the pelvic bowl, and to let what has been held in the dark begin to move, slowly, gently, and without force.

On Beltane this work takes on particular weight. Our Earthbound Spirit tends the lineage. The patterns, wounds, and gifts we inherited, all live in the pelvic center, and in the bones and the blood. This moon asks what is ready to be alchemised. Held, until something new can emerge from the tension between what was and what wants to be.
Transformation is not fixing what is broken. It is meeting what is real without turning away. What is met in love is transmuted by it. That is the precise teaching of The Transformer. That is what is being born tonight.
The Hidden Fire Rising

From the pelvic center, that deep territory of regeneration, hidden fire, and ancestral memory, a rainbow, shimmering, luminescent force begins to rise up through the central channel. We might feel warmth first, then tingling, possibly a thrumming that spreads slowly upward.
This force and the Creative Spirit’s light are one living system. The pelvic fire, the heart fire, the clarity in the head — all of it the same light, moving through you, seeking its fullest expression. The portal opens into what has always been yours.
The alchemical sequence is this: first, stand in the truth of what is. That means fully inhabit the present reality of your body and the ground beneath you. Then orient toward what you love, what you are here to give. In the meeting of those two ( what is, and what is loved ) transmutation occurs. The heart becomes the alchemical center, not a waystation but the place where truth and love meet and allow something new to arise from below. Emotional energy shifts to creative energy. Right Action arises from what is real.

Every year I feel this moon in my body. The thrumming in my pelvic center. The warmth that spreads upward through the central channel. The sense of an ancient fire that moves through me when I am tended enough to receive it.
What I have learned, from my own path and from walking with others through this threshold, is that The Transformer’s gift does not come from pushing into the shadow or forcing the fire. It comes from tending. From meeting what is frozen with curiosity rather than fear. From standing in the truth of what is and looking toward what matters most. And letting the heart do what only the heart can do.
The heart can only blaze when the lower fire is fed.
