The First Spark Beneath the Snow
We are still within the Great Pause between breaths.
From Winter Solstice to Vernal Equinox, the Earth rests in deep stillness. The body of the world gathers nourishment and renews its rhythm before spring’s exhale begins.
The Twelve Nights after Solstice opened the portals of the coming year. The wild hunt stirred up and carried away the old stories. Now January holds the deep sleep that follows, a quiet descent into restoration.
Imbolc signals the beginning of the dreaming phase within this rest. It is the moment of REM sleep in the body of the Earth. Life begins to stir beneath the surface, not yet ready to move, but already imagining its next form.
Our ancestors marked this time by lighting candles for Brigid, keeper of the hearth flame and midwife of renewal.
Her fire awakens the dreaming heart.
Her warmth calls the first pulse of the new year into being.
This gathering is a remembering of how to meet that threshold consciously - to allow the pace of doing to slow and the soul to ready itself for dreaming destiny into becoming.
Brigid and Holde: The Keepers of the Hearth Dream
In the old European calendar, these days belong to Brigid, or in her northern face, Holle.
They are the goddesses who hold both flame and seed, tending life while it still rests in the dark.
They teach that creation begins in the home, in the body, in the quiet tending of warmth.
Their fire is the steady pulse that keeps the dream alive through winter’s long night.
They remind us that destiny begins as devotion, not as effort.
As the Leo Full Moon approaches, we invoke their wisdom to awaken the flame within the heart.
This is not fire for performance. It is fire for coherence.
It is the warmth that allows the soul to dream its next expression.

Your Guide
I’m Ro Marlen, a threshold walker and wisdom teacher rooted in the European Wise Woman tradition. Since 1997, I’ve been guiding sensitive, spiritually attuned people back into the rhythms of body, land, and ancestors - drawing on decades of study with earth-honoring healers, mystics, and traditions across the globe.
But long before the trainings and teachings, my life was shaped by conversation with the unseen - by a lifetime of walking and speaking with the dead, with the spirits of place, and with the beings of land that still exist and need our tending.
My work comes from lived experience: spontaneous healing, radical awakening, sacred illness, and the long return to ground.
I am here for those who feel too much, who live at the edge, and who know they are called to another way of being.
